Call for Artists/Creative Thinkers - UnBend Art Workshop Proposals

ScaleHouse invites artists and creative thinkers to lead a workshop or exhibition as part of the "UnBend Art" initiative. Workshops are one or two-day, hands-on sessions designed to push the arts into new directions. Artists in all disciplines are encouraged to inspire and engage participants to think and work in new ways. An exhibition of the workshop artist's work will accompany the class, with the opportunity for class exhibition or performance being optional.

Workshop dates are tentatively set for February, June, September, and November. Selected artists will receive an honorarium, lodging, and fees, along with the opportunity to engage and inspire the arts community in Bend, Oregon. One session is reserved for local artists.

Proposals should include a resume, six images of work, a brief description of the proposed workshop with title, additional context about expertise and the event offering, ideal number of attendees, description of target audience, a list of required supplies, and any spatial constraints needed. Application deadline is December 11 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Applicants will be notified by December 29.
