About This Call

Valdosta State University Dedo Maranville Fine Arts Gallery is reviewing solo and small group exhibition proposals for the 2019-2020 academic year. The deadline is October 15, 2018. There is a $15 entry fee to cover administrative expenses.

Artists 18 and older are invited to apply; all media will be considered. Applicants should submit 10-20 images (up to 10 videos if relevant) and include a short description of the proposed exhibition with a list of all participating artists for self-organized small group exhibitions. Include artist statement(s), artist CV(s), and describe any expenses you would like or need covered by the gallery (e.g., shipping of artwork). Some stipend money may be available to help with expenses, depending on circumstances and gallery budget. Artwork is insured while in the gallery and the gallery takes no sales commission.

The gallery hosts 8 exhibitions per academic year, with 3 time slots open for visiting artists through this call. Images by accepted artists may be used for educational and promotional purposes by the Dedo Maranville Fine Arts Gallery. Contact Gallery Director Professor Julie Bowland at [email protected] or (229) 333-5835.
