About This Call
On behalf of the City of Anna, One Eleven Art Consulting invites North Texas artists to submit 2D and 3D artwork for consideration for the new Anna Community Library permanent collection. Selected artworks from this call will be considered for purchase and permanent display in the library. The Anna Community Library will serve as a gathering space for neighbors, prioritizing a family-focused environment, community inclusiveness for all ages, and nurturing lifelong learners.
Artists must be 18 years or older and currently residing in Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Hunt, Kaufman, Rockwall, Johnson, Grayson, Parker, or Tarrant Counties. Artists residing in Collin County will receive priority consideration. The submission deadline is September 15, 2025, with a $5 entry fee. Artists may submit up to 3 artworks. All submitted artworks must be complete, available for purchase, and priced under $5,000. Artists will receive 100% of the proceeds from artwork purchases.
Eligible 2D mediums include acrylic and oil painting, drawing, watercolor, printed photography, limited edition archival prints, printed digital artwork, traditional printmaking, and textiles. Maximum dimensions are 60 inches width x 72 inches height x 3 inches depth, with an average size of 24-36 inches width recommended. Eligible 3D mediums include ceramics, metal, 3D printed sculpture, woodworking, found objects assemblage, glass, and stone, with maximum dimensions of 60 inches width x 72 inches height x 60 inches depth. Framed works must be ready to hang with D-ring hardware installed. Artists are encouraged to consider artworks aligned with themes such as literature and storytelling, books and reading, community and belonging, imagination and whimsy, nature and local fauna, and Texas and local culture. Subject restrictions include blood or gore, nudity, drugs or drug use, smoking, cardinals, and panthers. Notification of selection will occur in early October 2025. Applications must be submitted through CallForEntry.org.
