Call for Artists 2025 - City of Bothell, WA

The City of Bothell invites experienced and emerging artists residing in Washington state to submit work for exhibition at City Hall Gallery. Preference is given to artists living in King and Snohomish Counties. Exhibits will be 2-4 months in duration and may be individual or group shows.

Two-dimensional work: The gallery space consists of approximately 60 feet of professional STAS j-rail max hanging system with ample natural light. All 2-dimensional work must be mounted or framed and ready to hang with wires. Video work: Video artists will be selected to present in rotation for 2-4 months in duration. Works should be no more than five minutes in length and cannot include sound due to the nature of the public space. Selected video artists will work with staff to develop final output.

Applications will be reviewed by a diverse panel of experts based on demonstrated artistic merit and appropriateness in concept and content for a public location. Submit up to six representative images for 2-dimensional work or up to three video samples, along with an artist statement describing your work and exhibition history. Indicate your preference for a solo or group show. All work must be delivered and picked up in person and will be installed with assistance from City of Bothell staff. Artists are encouraged to offer works for sale; the City does not accept commissions. Exhibitions are publicized through city-generated e-newsletters, social media, and the City's website.
