About This Call
True crime has become a cultural phenomenon—podcasts, documentaries, TV series, books, and endless speculation about what really happened. We are drawn to mystery, motive, guilt, and justice. We want to understand the darker corners of human nature. For our May exhibition, Magpie invites artists to explore True Crime in its broadest sense: the many ways humans cross the line—against each other, against communities, and against the world around us.
