About This Call
The Louisiana Percent for Art program invites LSU's College of Art & Design faculty to submit 2-D and 3-D artworks for consideration of purchase. Purchased artwork will be permanently installed on the campus in the Chemistry and Materials Building. Participants may submit existing ready-to-hang original artwork or a proposal (in the form of a sketch, design, etc.) for consideration. All artwork should have a chemistry-related theme.
Each artist may submit up to three works for consideration. Each artwork requires its own individual submission and will be scored independently. A variety of artworks are welcome for submission, including oil, watercolor, acrylic, graphite, charcoal, pastels, photography, ceramics (wall-hanging ceramics only), printmaking, digital art, textile, and mixed media.
Participants must be employed as an LSU Art & Design faculty member. All art must be framed (if applicable) and prepared for hanging in public spaces. The work must be contained (close to the wall) and have no protruding obstacles that would cause injury. Image specifications: JPG, PNG - Maximum size per image 5MB. All submissions must be received by April 16th via the Call for Entry (CaFÉ) system at 11:59 PM MDT.
