About This Call
California's Future? is a juried print exhibition presented by the Los Angeles Printmaking Society at Center for the Arts Eagle Rock. The exhibition explores environmental issues and sustainability through original prints, with the purpose of bringing awareness to climate change, drought, and unsustainable farming practices while exploring how art can create change and promote a sustainable future.
The Los Angeles Printmaking Society invites its members to submit up to 3 original prints in any medium on themes that explore the environment and sustainability. The exhibition will be juried by renowned local artist Amir H. Fallah. Exhibition dates are April 17 – May 15, 2016. In concert with the exhibition launch on April 17, 2016, the Los Angeles Printmaking Society will conduct a special, free all-ages printmaking workshop at Center for the Arts Eagle Rock as part of Earth Day celebration events.
Eligibility is limited to LAPS members in good standing. Submissions require 1-3 digital images representing the quality and nature of the work. Members juried into the show must cover shipping costs, including return shipping and insurance. Due to the all-ages nature of the exhibition, artists should refrain from violent or sexual content. Jury results will be notified on March 14, 2016. Deadline for shipping works is April 13, 2016, with hand delivery available April 13, 2016 (11am – 5pm). Pick up/shipping of art is May 15, 2016. Exhibition location: Center for the Arts Eagle Rock, 2225 Colorado Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90041.
