About This Call
Welcome to the 4th Annual California Dreaming group show, dedicated to our deep love for California, the landscape, the energy, and the communities that call her home. Dorado 806 invites you to submit artwork on the theme of California Dreaming. Our intention is to showcase the depth, the breadth, the beauty, the history, and particularly, the strong community of California with her spectrum of unique perspectives. The exhibition is curated by Amelie Laurice & Meghan DeRoma.
Accepted artwork includes painting, drawing, printmaking, fiber, photography, and sculpture. All work must be original, unsold work, and the artist must own the sole copyright to the art. All artwork selected must remain available for sale for the entirety of the exhibition and remain in the gallery for the duration of the exhibition. Work should be ready to hang condition with proper wiring, works on paper must be framed. Size must be under 24" in every direction. You may submit a series of pieces where each piece maintains the size requirement.
The entry fee is $30 for up to 3 pieces per submission. Artists will be notified on a rolling basis and by February 28, 2026. The in-person show runs March 14-27, 2026, with an opening reception on March 14, 2026. The online show dates are March 8 - April 30, 2026. Founded in 2021 on the California coast, Dorado 806 Projects is an artist-funded, arts and culture platform with a fluid, place-responsive practice focused on themes of introspection, human relationship with the natural world, transcendentalism, inclusion, listening, and self-actualization through humor and play.
