About This Call
California Dreaming is the second annual group show dedicated to California, hosted by Dorado 806 Projects, a California coast-based arts and culture collective in Santa Monica. The exhibition opens during LA Art Week and showcases artwork on the theme of California Dreaming. The show runs from February 24 to March 9, 2024, and is curated by Amelie Laurice and Meghan DeRoma.
Artists may submit up to 3 pieces per submission for a $35 entry fee. Additional submissions are permitted. All work must be original, unsold, and the artist must own the sole copyright. Artwork size must be under 24 inches in every direction; series submissions are allowed if each piece meets the size requirement. All frames, mats, and wiring must be of professional quality and in good condition. Selected artwork must remain available for sale for the entirety of the exhibition.
Accepted media include painting, drawing, printmaking, fiber, digital, photography, and sculpture. Submissions should include clear, well-lit images at 2MB or above, cropped to the edges, with the artist's name and artwork title in the file name. All artists are encouraged to apply. Entry fees contribute to financing free community events and group exhibitions at Dorado 806 Projects. For inquiries, contact [email protected].
