About This Call
Summer Escapes is an exhibition at the Altadena Town & Country Club (2290 Country Club Drive, Altadena, CA 91001) running May 18 - September 11, 2012. This opportunity is open to CAC Associate Artist Members only. The exhibition seeks paintings of summer escapes from all over the world – from beaches to famous landmarks to backyard scenes. Accepted mediums include oil, watercolor, pastel, and acrylic.
Entry deadline is Monday, April 9, 2012. The entry fee is $35 for the first image submitted, with each additional image costing $10. Artists may submit between 1 and 6 images. Artwork drop-off is Wednesday, May 16, 2012 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Out of town shipments must be delivered before May 15, 2012 to Box and Ship, 319 S Arroyo Pkwy, Ste 1, Pasadena, CA 91105. An artists' reception will be held Sunday, May 20, 2012 from 4 - 6 p.m. Artwork pick-up is Wednesday, September 12, 2012 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Sales commission is split as follows: 60% to the artist, 20% to Altadena Town & Country Club, and 20% to CAC. Artists are responsible for the cost of crating and shipping artwork to and from the exhibition. For questions, contact the California Art Club at 626/583-9009 or [email protected].
