CAL International 2024

CAL International 2024 is a juried competition hosted by the Conroe Art League, a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization dedicated to promoting community enrichment through the arts. The exhibition will be held at The Madeley Fine Art Gallery, located at 127 Simonton Street, Conroe, TX. The juror is Patrick Saunders. Awards include: 1st Place $2,500, 2nd Place $1,250, 3rd Place $1,000, and 4th Place $750. Selections will be based solely on artistic merit.

Entry deadline is December 18, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Entry fee is $35.00 for the first image and $15.00 for each additional image (1-6 images maximum). Finalists will be notified by January 17, 2024. Eligible artwork must arrive by March 2, 2024 and will exhibit from March 5-30, 2024. The artists' reception and awards announcement is Saturday, March 23, 2024, 6-8 PM.

Artwork must be original and created solely by the artist, with no collaboration, artificial intelligence assistance, or use of prints. Work must be less than five years old and adhere to community standards (no graphic nudity, political statements, or violence). Two-dimensional artwork maximum size is 48"W x 72"H (including frame) and not to exceed 30 lbs. Three-dimensional artwork maximum size is 30"W x 30"D x 48"H and not to exceed 40 lbs. No art requiring ceiling installation is eligible. Artists may sell work during the exhibition; CAL retains 20% of the sale price. Return shipping begins April 1, 2024.
