CAL Fall 2023 Judged Show

CAL's Fall 2023 Judged Show is a virtual competition held on the CaFE website, open only to artists living in Texas. Registration runs from July 25 to August 28, 2023. Artists must submit 1-20 images of original artwork completed within the last 2 years. Images must be JPEG or JPG format, 1,200 pixels or greater on the longest side, and under 5 MB. Judging is conducted online by Anat Ronen.

Entry fees are $15 per artwork for adults over 18 (maximum 20 pieces per artist, up to 3 per category). School students 18 and under may enter up to 2 artworks free with coupon codes (STUFIRST for first entry, STU2ND for second entry). Artists must designate one division (Professional, Semi-Professional, Non-Professional, Adult Student, or Elementary/Middle/High School Student) and may enter artwork in up to 3 categories: Oil/Acrylic Painting, Watercolor/Acrylic Painting, Pastels, Drawing, Mixed Media, Photography, Digital Art, Abstract/Experimental/Non-Objective Art, Sculpture, or Studio Fine Crafts.

Artwork must be original, family-friendly, and meet size requirements (2-D art maximum 48" wide and 30 pounds; 3-D art maximum 30" wide by 30" deep by 48" high and 40 pounds). Awards including Best of Show, Best Floral, Best Landscape, and Best Student will be announced at the General Meeting on October 7, 2023. Winners in these categories qualify to compete in the Summer 2024 LSAG Regional Show. Active Adult Regular Members of CAL whose work is selected may display in the CAL gallery in November 2023 with no hanging fee. Best of Show winners receive a free 1-year CAL membership.
