CaFÉ Curation: The Artist Behind the Admin

CaFÉ Curation: The Artist Behind the Admin celebrates the artistic talents of administrators on the CaFÉ site. This open call invites all administrators to submit their artwork in any medium or discipline. The goal is to show that the administrators behind the open calls on CaFÉ are more than just administrators.

Selected artwork will be featured on the CaFÉ website, Instagram (@callforentry), and Facebook pages, with weekly features on social media. Each piece will include a crediting caption with details from the artist's application and a description of their artwork and creative journey. The CaFÉ team will personally curate the images without a jury. Every six months, images showcased on the homepage will be refreshed.

Submit 1-3 artworks for consideration (1-3 images and up to 1 optional video file; YouTube or Vimeo links accepted). Include an artist statement describing the core themes, techniques, and intentions of your creative practice, and a narrative explaining what perspective being an artist has provided when working behind the scenes in the arts ecosystem. Open to anyone currently using CaFÉ in an admin role. All mediums welcome. Original work only. Free to apply. Entry deadline: March 13, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. MDT.
