CACE Gallery of Fine Art

The Morgan Community College Center for Arts and Community Enrichment (CACE) oversees the Gallery of Fine Art located in a historic building in downtown Fort Morgan, Colorado. The Gallery opened in 2012 and has hosted juried art exhibits from local, regional, and national artists. Most exhibits remain on display for five to six weeks. The Gallery is free and open to the public Monday through Friday, with extended hours on Thursdays from 4:00 to 6:00 PM (until 7:00 PM on the monthly Third Thursday Art Walk). Most items are available for sale, and the Gallery retains 10% of sales for maintenance and operations.

Art pieces must be of original concept and design, created within the last five years. Canvas works may not exceed 1200 square inches (unframed). Two-dimensional pieces must be framed and wired, ready for hanging. Artists retain copyright to their work; however, exhibited items may be photographed by CACE and used in future promotional materials. Art objects created in instructional settings (workshops, classes) are not considered original artwork. Artists may identify items as either for sale (with price) or NFS (not for sale). Artists must currently be living in the United States.

Electronic applications are accepted through April 5, 2021. Submit 10 images between 1400 and 4000 pixels at the largest dimension. Entry fee is $25.00. Artists chosen for exhibits will be notified before the end of April 2021. Artists are required to deliver and pick up all items exhibited. Upon invitation to exhibit, delivery and pickup dates will be agreed upon by both the Gallery representative and the artist. Most exhibits start on a Thursday evening with an opening reception where artists are invited to make a brief presentation about their work and artistic process. A formal agreement will be entered into once dates are confirmed. The Gallery will request a 300 dpi headshot of the artist for marketing purposes. A 10% support fee will be deducted from the sale price of any item sold.
