CACE Gallery of Fine Art 2024-25

The Morgan Community College Center for Arts and Community Enrichment (CACE) Gallery of Fine Art is located in a historic building in downtown Fort Morgan, Colorado. The Gallery opened in 2012 and has hosted juried art exhibits from local, regional, and national artists. Most exhibits remain on display for five to six weeks. The Gallery is free and open to the public Monday through Friday during regular business hours, with extended hours on scheduled Third Thursday evening Art Walks, artist receptions, and other special occasions and community events throughout the year.

Artists must submit 6 images of original artwork created within the last five years. Art pieces created in instructional settings are not considered original artwork. Canvas pieces must not exceed 2000 square inches (unframed). Two-dimensional pieces must be framed and wired, ready for hanging. Application images should be a minimum of 1200 pixels on the longest side with a file size not exceeding 5 megabytes. The entry fee is $25. Artists must currently be living in the United States. Electronic applications are accepted through April 1, 2024. Selected artists will be notified before the end of April 2024.

Artists receive 90% of artwork sales; the Gallery retains 10% for maintenance and exhibit promotions. Artists are responsible for delivery and pickup of all items exhibited. Exhibits normally open on a Thursday evening, and the artist is expected to attend the opening reception and make a brief presentation about their work. Artists may identify items for sale (with price) or as NFS (not for sale). Upon acceptance, the artist and Gallery will enter into a formal contract. Artists who wish may also present a workshop and hands-on experience for participants.
