CACE Gallery of Fine Art 2022-2023

The Morgan Community College Center for Arts and Community Enrichment (CACE) Gallery of Fine Art is located in a historic building in downtown Fort Morgan, Colorado. The Gallery opened in 2012 and has hosted juried art exhibits from local, regional, and national artists. Most exhibits remain on display for five to six weeks. The Gallery is free and open to the public Monday through Friday during regular business hours, with extended hours from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on the Third Thursday of each month as part of the Community Arts Third Thursday Art Walk. Most items are available for sale, and the Gallery retains 10% of sales for maintenance and operations.

Artists of both 2D and 3D works seeking solo exhibits are eligible to apply. Art pieces must be of original concept and design, created within the last five years. For canvas works, the maximum size is 1200 square inches (unframed). Two-dimensional pieces must be framed and wired, ready for hanging. Artists must currently be living in the United States. The entry fee is $25.00, and applicants must submit 10 images between 1400 and 4000 pixels at the largest dimension. Artists chosen for exhibits will be notified before the end of April 2022.

Artists retain copyright to their work; however, exhibited items may be photographed by CACE and used in future promotional materials. Artists may identify items as either for sale (with price) or NFS (not for sale). A 10% support fee will be deducted from the sale price of any item sold. Artists are required to deliver and pick up all items exhibited. Upon invitation to exhibit, delivery and pickup dates will be agreed upon by both the Gallery representative and the artist. Most exhibits start on a Thursday evening, and artists are invited to attend an opening reception and make a brief presentation about their work and artistic process. Upon exhibit agreement, the Gallery will request a 300 dpi headshot of the artist for marketing purposes.
