About This Call
The annual Butchertown Art Fair is held the first weekend in June and is located in one of the oldest neighborhoods of Louisville, set against the backdrop of historic homes and a canopy of trees. The fair has a unique style with its casual atmosphere and eclectic crowd, featuring beautiful and interesting works of art, locally acclaimed food vendors, live music, and a variety of local spirits, beer and wine.
The event takes place June 6-7, 2026, with hours Saturday 11am to 6pm and Sunday 11am to 5pm. The fair accommodates up to 80 artists in generous 10' x 10' outdoor booth spaces with approximately 3' between booths. Artist amenities include free water, available booth sitters, and after-hour security. All items for sale must be original and hand crafted by the artist, and the artist must be present for the entirety of the fair.
The booth fee is $175 ($125 for Butchertown residents) plus a $25 non-refundable processing fee. Applications are due April 1 at midnight EST, with jury results notification on April 15. Booth setup begins Friday evening after 5pm or Saturday 8-10am. Electricity, tables, chairs, and running water are not provided, and artists are encouraged to bring tents with proper weighting for weather protection.
