Burnt Sienna Gallery Opening Exhibition

Burnt Sienna Gallery is opening at the end of May 2024 and inviting artists to participate in a juried opening exhibition. The gallery is located at 9327 Powderhouse Hill Road in Galena, Illinois, in the historic driftless area of northwest Illinois. An artist reception will be held on Saturday, May 25th from 4:00-7:00pm.

This call is open to all mediums including oil, acrylic, watercolor, graphite pencil, ink, pastel, mixed media, printmaking, and fiber in 2D formats, as well as photography and 3D functional and sculptural pieces. All ages and skill levels are welcome, with a preference for fine art pieces. There is no specific theme for the first show. The exhibition will run for two months, ending July 25th, 2024. Artists may be asked to extend their work if interested in becoming resident artists; otherwise, artwork must be picked up by August 8th, 2024, or shipped with a prepaid label created by the artist. The gallery is also seeking artwork for future exhibitions, and other dates may be available if these do not work for you.

Submit up to four pieces with one JPEG or JPG photo per piece (1200 pixels or greater on the longest side, under 5 MB). Include artist name, title, size (width x height x depth in inches), materials (25 words or less), techniques (25 words or less), photo credit if applicable, and a statement about the piece (150 words or less). Entry fee is $25.00. All entries must be original. This juried exhibition is open nationally to emerging and established artists.
