Buckham Gallery 2022-2023 Season Call For Entry

Buckham Gallery is accepting applications for the 2022-2023 Exhibition Season. Solo, group, performance, and curatorial submissions of all media are welcome. The 2022-2023 season runs from October 2022 to September 2023, featuring 4 to 6 week exhibitions. Solo shows generally run concurrently with one or two other artists. The museum-quality gallery is 1979 square feet and is open to the public five days a week and by appointment.

Submission requirements include a CV/resume, artist statement or exhibition narrative (one page maximum), and 8-12 digital images (up to 20 for group proposals). Performance proposals may include up to 3 videos. Curatorial proposals should include 6-20 images and/or up to 3 videos in support of the proposal. The submission fee is $25. All submissions are juried by an Exhibition Committee comprised of community arts professionals and Buckham Members. Notification of accepted artists will be provided by July 31, 2021.

Artists must cover transportation costs to and from the gallery. All work must arrive ready to install and be installable within three days. Professional-level presentation is required. Any A/V equipment needed must be provided by the artist(s). All work, unless indicated not for sale, will be available for sale during the exhibit, with Buckham Gallery retaining a 35% commission. The Buckham Fine Arts Project will award one 2022-2023 Season Grand Prize of $1,000 to an artist or group exhibiting in the season who exemplifies the gallery's mission.
