Brush Creek Foundation for the Arts Summer/Fall 2014 Residencies

The artist residency program at Brush Creek Foundation for the Arts offers two sessions per year, with programs of two, four or six weeks depending on availability and the applicant's ranking in the jury process. Preference will go to four-week requests. The Summer/Fall session runs from June through November with an application deadline of March 15. A blind jury will rank residents based on work samples provided with the application.

Visual artists (including drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, installation, new media and video) shall provide 10-20 images or a short video. Language arts applicants (fiction, non-fiction, poetry and scientific writing) shall include no more than 20 pages of material. Musicians and composers should provide two scores and two music files for listening. Selected artists will receive housing, most meals, exclusive studio access and use of the library, lounge and kitchen, located in a meadow along the riparian corridor of Brush Creek. Residents are responsible for all supplies and transportation to Brush Creek Ranch or Laramie Regional Airport.

Applicants must provide work samples formatted to CAFE standards, a CV or resume, an artist statement and description of the project, and contact information for two individuals capable of providing a character reference. The entry fee is $30.00. International applicants are eligible.
