Brookside Art Annual 2026

The Brookside Art Annual is celebrating its 40th year in a vibrant neighborhood in the center of Kansas City, just minutes from downtown, the Plaza and the southern suburbs. As the first art show of the year, Brookside becomes the center of the midwest art community each May. The focus of the show is on ART and this community loves art shows, consistently ranked in the top 25 shows according to Art Source. Art Source quote "This is a very pleasant, national caliber event attracting an affluent, enthusiastic and knowledgeable clientele."

The show is produced by the Brookside Community Improvement District and draws more than 70,000 people from the entire region. Show hours are Friday 5 p.m.-9 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.-9 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Awards will be given in Best of Show, 2-D & 3-D and all media categories, with all winners invited to next year's show. Artist amenities include 24-hour security, booth sitters, Saturday breakfast, Saturday night dinner with wine delivered to booths, and special hotel rates.

Booth fees are $550 for standard booths, $700 for corner booths, $1050 for double deep booths, and $1150 for double wide booths. All spaces are 10' by 10' with 300 watts of electricity and most have storage space behind the booth. Artists must provide all display materials and booth structures suitable for outdoor use. On-site parking is available for an additional fee. The purchase deadline is February 28, 2026, with refunds of 50% available until April 1st. All work must be original and produced by the exhibiting artist, with no commercial kits, molds, or mass-produced items permitted.
