About This Call
The Village of Brockport Farmers Market promotes the sale of fresh fruits, vegetables, plants, and other locally harvested goods while providing a direct marketing outlet for local agricultural produce and products. The market stimulates activity in Brockport's downtown business district, fosters social gathering and community involvement, and educates the greater community on growing seasons and the benefits of eating and consuming locally. The market operates on Sundays from 9am-1pm, running from the second Sunday in June through the third Sunday in October, located on Main Street between State and King Streets.
Bona-fide growers, craft persons, and producers of homemade products are eligible to become vendors at the market. Vendors must sell only products they have grown, raised, or made themselves, including fruits and vegetables, eggs, honey, maple syrup, dairy products, meat and poultry, bedding plants, baked goods made from scratch, and wine. All items must be clearly priced and displayed appropriately, with produce at least 12 inches off the ground. Vendors are required to display signs indicating their name and farm location, maintain clean market spaces, and remain for the full operating period.
Vendors must comply with all applicable regulations, including displaying valid New York state certifications for taxable items, nursery licenses for plant sales, and organic certification if advertising organic products. The market accepts applications with no application fee and welcomes emerging artists. All vendors are expected to arrive one hour prior to market opening for setup and must download the "My Brockport Village" app for market communications.
