Bright Light Fine Art: Artists Guild

First Annual International Juried Artists Guild Exhibition at Legacy Gallery in Scottsdale, Arizona, running January 20 through February 12, 2014. The opening reception is Thursday, January 27th, 2014. Entry deadline is November 15, 2013. Entry fee is $35 for guild members and non-members; the fee covers up to 3 original submissions with a maximum of 2 pieces accepted per artist. The fee is non-refundable.

Submissions must be digital images of original representational work only. Acceptable mediums include oil, watercolor, acrylic, casein, gouache, pastel, and drawing media. Photography and computer-generated artwork are not eligible. Artwork dimensions must be between 320 and 1,200 square inches and must be framed and wired for hanging. The Bright Light Fine Art Staff will judge all submissions, selecting the top 50 paintings. Acceptance notifications will be sent by early December 2013.

The top 25 selected works will exhibit at Legacy Gallery alongside nationally renowned artists. The next 25 selected works will be displayed at the Scottsdale Artists School. Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medals will be awarded in three categories: Oil and Acrylic, Water Media, and Works on Paper. Accepted artwork must be shipped to Legacy Gallery between January 13-17, 2014. A $25 check per painting payable to Legacy Gallery must be included to cover labor expenses. International shipments must be shipped "Free Domicile" with appropriate customs documentation. Unsold paintings will be returned within two weeks after the show. Artists are responsible for insurance to and from the gallery. Legacy Gallery's insurance covers damage or theft while in the gallery but not loss from catastrophic events.
