Bright / Light

This is an online-only exhibition celebrating the role of light in art. Artists are invited to show how they use light in their work and how it brings their creative process alive. The exhibition explores light in all its forms—from natural light like the noon sun, evening moon, and ocean-front scenes, to artificial light such as glowing fires and candle-lit rooms.

The exhibition is open to all fine art mediums including oil, acrylic, watermedia, pastel, drawing, printmaking, mixed media, photography, sculpture, fiber, wood, and digital art, except video. Work that is copied or done under the guidance of an instructor is not eligible. This call is open to all artists worldwide, both amateur and professional.

Entry deadline is January 31, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Entry fee is $20 for the first entry and $5 for each additional entry, up to a maximum of 20 images. All images must be submitted in JPEG or JPG format with a minimum size of 1,200 pixels on the longest side and maximum file size of 5 MB. Winners will be notified by email by February 10, 2025. Awards are $300 for first place, $200 for second place, and $100 for third place. All sales inquiries will be directed to the artist.
