Bridges Not Walls

Woodward Contemporary invites seasoned California artists to participate in Bridges Not Walls, an inaugural juried exhibition and opening celebration. The exhibition theme suggests that communication and collaboration are better than isolation and division. Artists are invited to express their vision for 2025 of what Bridges Not Walls means to them—whether a bridge to knowing people of goodwill, a bridge to the next chapter in your life, or an appreciation of cultural, religious and philosophical differences.

Entry fee is $40.00 with an additional $10.00 media fee. Artists must submit 2-4 images of their work. Minimum image size is 140 square inches (no side less than 10 inches). Maximum frame size is 48 inches in either outside direction with a maximum weight of 40 pounds. Sculpture submissions have a maximum height of 30 inches or less with a maximum weight of 100 pounds.

Eligibility: Open to artists 18 years and older. Entries must be original and created entirely by the artist. No digital art, workshop/class art, or reproductions will be accepted. Only one painting per artist will be juried into the exhibition. Application deadline is May 13, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MDT.
