About This Call
The 50th Annual Breckenridge Gathering at the Great Divide Art Festival has been consistently ranked in the top 200 Fine Art Shows in the country by Sunshine Artists (#37 in 2018). As one of the longest running events in Breckenridge, the tradition continues as the highlight of Labor Day Weekend and will be limited to approximately 120 artists and craftsmen in a wide range of mediums. Breckenridge is located just 80 miles west of Denver in Summit County in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. This is the last big weekend of the summer with many locals, destination tourists, front range tourists, and second home owners in attendance for this very well established show.
The festival will be held August 30 - September 1 (Saturday-Monday, Labor Day weekend) at Colorado Mountain College parking lot at 107 Denison Placer Rd., Breckenridge, CO. Hours are Saturday-Sunday 10am-5pm and Monday 10am-4pm. This is a large paved lot with great visibility from Highway 9, allowing free parking for artists and patrons with drive-up access to booths for easy setup and teardown. Artists receive free coffee, bagels/donuts, and water each morning plus water throughout the weekend.
Accepted categories include ceramics, digital art, drawing/printmaking, fiber, glass, jewelry, mixed media, metal, photography, painting, sculpture, and wood (one category per application, no shared booths). The festival does not accept buy-sell, mass produced items, lotions, soaps, or country craft items. Application requires four images of current work and one booth image. Entry fee is $35 (non-refundable), with booth fees of $550 (10x10), $825 (10x15), or $1100 (10x20). Artists retain all sales proceeds and are responsible for collecting sales tax. Application deadline is April 1, 2025, with notification on April 15, 2025.
