Brand 54: Annual National Juried Exhibition of Works on Paper

The Associates of Brand Library & Art Center in Glendale, California announces its 54th Annual National Juried Exhibition of Works on Paper. The exhibition will run from June 6 to August 28, 2026. Cash awards total more than $4,000, including a Juror's Award. All accepted artworks will be included in an exhibition at Brand Library's Gallery and in both printed and online exhibition catalogs. A full-color catalog of the exhibition will be available free to exhibiting artists.

This year Tracy Bartley serves as juror. Tracy is Project Manager and Senior Researcher for the David Hockney Catalogue Raisonné Project and a co-founder of AFELL (Artist Foundations & Estate Leaders List) with over twenty-five years of experience in artist's studio management and legacy planning. She has worked with Charles Garabedian, Gwynn Murrill, Derek Boshier, and Michael Todd, among others. She is an accredited fine art appraiser specializing in Post-War, Modern, Contemporary, and Emerging Art, and 20th Century Design.

Participation is open to artists residing in the United States. Entries must be original artwork created between 2021-2026 and not previously exhibited at Brand Library & Art Center. Any artwork on or of paper is welcome, including collages, drawings, paintings, photography, prints, and 3-dimensional artworks. Paper must be a visible component of the artwork. Video art will not be accepted. Artworks created using AI will not be accepted. Reproductions of artworks created in a different medium will not be accepted. Artwork must arrive ready for installation including affixed hanging hardware or a method of installing the work safely and securely. Accepted artworks may not be removed or substituted before the close of the exhibition; artwork must be available between May 11 and August 28, 2026.

Entry fee is $25.00 with an additional $10.00 media fee. Submit 1-3 images. Entry deadline is March 29, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. PDT. Entry fees and commissions from the sale of artworks will support the cultural programming offered at Brand Library & Art Center.
