Brand 53: Annual National Juried Exhibition of Works on Paper

The Associates of Brand Library & Art Center in Glendale, California announces its 53rd Annual National Juried Exhibition of Works on Paper. This year's juror is Sigrid Burton, a painter and mixed media artist whose work explores color, drawing, light, and depth on two-dimensional surfaces. Burton has exhibited widely in New York City, San Francisco, Chicago, and Los Angeles, and her work is included in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Ringling Museum, and Palm Springs Desert Museum.

Artworks on or of paper are welcome, including collages, drawings, paintings, photography, prints, 3-dimensional works, and animated artworks created from drawings or prints. Paper must be a visible component of the artwork. Artwork must arrive ready for installation with affixed hanging hardware or a secure installation method. Submit 1-3 images of your work. Entries must be original artwork created between 2021-2025 and not previously exhibited at Brand Library & Art Center. Artworks created using AI will not be accepted, nor will reproductions of artworks created in a different medium. Participation is open to artists residing in the United States.

Entry fee is $25 for one artwork, $35 for two, and $45 for three. No more than three artworks may be submitted. Cash awards total more than $4,000, including a Juror's Award. All accepted artworks will be included in a show at Brand Library's Gallery and in both printed and online exhibition catalogs. Accepted artworks must be available for exhibition between June 30 and September 12, 2025. Hand-delivered artwork is due June 28 (9:00 am to 12:00 pm); shipped artwork must arrive between June 23-30. The exhibition opens July 19 with an opening reception and award announcement. Unless marked not for sale, all artworks will be offered for sale, with Brand Associates taking a 25% commission. Shipped artworks will be returned after the exhibition closes in the same packaging received; a prepaid return shipping label (UPS or FedEx) must be included.
