Brand 52: Annual National Juried Exhibition of Works on Paper

The Associates of Brand Library & Art Center in Glendale, California announces its 52nd Annual National Juried Exhibition of Works on Paper. This year's juror is art critic, curator and author Shana Nys Dambrot, Arts Editor for L.A. Weekly and contributor to Flaunt and Artillery. Cash awards total more than $4,000, including a Juror's Award. All accepted artworks will be included in a show at Brand's Gallery and in both printed and online exhibition catalogs. The exhibition runs June 1 through August 9, 2024, with an opening reception on June 15.

Artists at any point on their artistic journey—students, professionals, and hobbyists—are welcome to submit. Eligible artwork includes any work on or of paper, including collages, drawings, paintings, photography, prints, and 3-dimensional works. Paper must be a visible component of the artwork. This year, animated artworks created from drawings or prints are welcome. Entries must be original artwork created between 2020-2024 and not previously exhibited at Brand Library & Art Center. Artworks created using AI will not be accepted, nor will reproductions of artworks created in a different medium.

Participation is open to artists residing in the United States. Submit 1-3 images of your work via CaFE. Entry fee is $25 for one artwork, $35 for two, and $45 for three. The deadline for submissions is March 31, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Accepted artists will be notified April 15-20. Artwork must be available for the full exhibition run (June 1 through August 9, 2024). Unless marked NFS (not for sale), all artworks will be offered for sale with Brand Associates taking a 25% commission. Contact Debra Thompson at [email protected] with questions.
