Bowery Gallery 35th Annual Art Competition

The Bowery Gallery Annual Juried Competition is open to all applicants working in two-dimensional media. All selected works will be exhibited in the gallery's Chelsea space from July 28–August 15, 2026. The juror is Susan Lichtman, a figurative painter and Professor Emerita of Fine Arts at Brandeis University.

Eligible media include painting, drawing, printmaking, pastel, and mixed media. Sculpture, photography, and digital art are not eligible. Work may not exceed 36 inches in height or width, not including frame. The gallery accepts applications from artists worldwide.

Entry fee is $35.00 for submission of 1–3 images, with a $6.00 fee for each additional image. A maximum of 6 images may be submitted. All work will be for sale unless the artist states otherwise, with all proceeds going to the artist. Applicants will be notified of the juror's decision by June 1, 2026.
