Boulder Open Studios 2015

Boulder Open Studios 2015 is a juried exhibition taking place October 5-13, 2015. The entry deadline is April 27, 2015 at 11:59 p.m. MDT, with a $35 entry fee. Applicants must submit 5 images of different pieces of art completed since 2012 that are representative of work to be shown during Open Studios. The first image submitted will be used on the website and tour map if accepted.

Accepted artists must have their year-round studio within the specified Boulder geography and must derive a portion of their income from their art. Participants must exhibit a minimum of 12 pieces (6 for labor-intensive media) and agree to be present in their studio during all event hours wearing a name badge. Artists must provide an educational component by demonstrating their creative process and materials or displaying basic steps in completing their work. All accepted artists must have required City, County, and State Sales Tax Licenses and collect and pay sales taxes.

Accepted artists must place one work in a preview exhibition at the Boulder Public Library (maximum 40" x 40", exceptions for 3D works). Artwork drop-off is Monday, August 31, 2015 from 3:00-6:00 p.m., with pickup on Monday, October 12, 2015 from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. For group studios, participating artists must display prominent signs identifying themselves as Open Studios participants. Non-participating artists in shared spaces are requested not to actively promote their work to visitors or display signage mentioning Open Studios.
