About This Call
The Dairy's Visual Art Jury is an eleven-member committee comprised of artists, curators, university faculty and art collectors. Applications will be reviewed by the Dairy's Curator of Visual Arts and this jury to select individual artists and groups of artists to exhibit in the Dairy's four galleries. Most exhibitions are 6 weeks in length and are rotated in all 4 galleries at the same time. Exhibitions are usually planned around the same idea, concept, medium or artist. You may be accepted for a solo exhibition or become a part of a group exhibition.
Non-artist members of the public may submit a proposal for an exhibition of work by an artist or group of artists from any state or country. The person submitting the curated exhibition proposal will be considered the exhibitor and responsible for the exhibition. If a curated group exhibition is invited, the curator will work directly with the Dairy's Curator of Visual Arts, who will have final approval of all matters including hanging and curation.
Artists may not bring an exhibition to the Dairy that has been shown in the Boulder area in the 12 months prior to a Dairy exhibition. Individual works shown at other venues in the area may be included in a different Dairy exhibition within a 12 month period. Work exhibited at the Dairy should be no more than three years old at the time of exhibit, though exceptions may be made by the Jury and/or Curator. The Dairy Galleries are not equipped to exhibit art jewelry at this time; artists wishing to exhibit jewelry must work with the Curator to obtain display cases and materials at the exhibitor's expense.
Entry fee: $37.00. Work sample requirements: 4-8 images, 0-1 audio file, 0-2 video files, 4-10 total samples.
