Boulder County Fair Poster Juried Competition

Arts Longmont is working with the Boulder County Fair to select an artist for the 150th Boulder County Fair Poster. Boulder County artists are encouraged to create a commemorative poster image reflecting their rendition or interpretation of the Boulder County Fair.

The winning artist will receive $1,000. Five finalists will be selected based on submitted images and artist statements. The final selection will be made March 8th, 2019 by a panel working with the Boulder County Fair. The winning artist will have until April 10th, 2019 to create an original work of art that will be a major element in the limited-edition print and poster. The winning artist will retain ownership of the work and may choose to make a separate agreement with the Boulder County Fair to exhibit or sell the original artwork. A limited number of signed, limited-edition prints and posters will be available for sale to benefit the Boulder County Fair.

All artists submitting to this call must agree to the use of their artwork image in the design and production of the limited-edition print and poster by the Boulder County Fair. The final artwork need not make direct reference to the Boulder County Fair but should consider the tagline "Our Fair, Our History, Our Community." Entry fee is $35.00. Submit 3-4 images with an artist statement about your approach to the project. Eligibility is limited to Boulder County, Colorado artists.
