Boulder Alley Gallery

Downtown Boulder Community Initiatives (DBCI) is inviting Boulder County based artists to submit images of existing work for consideration in the Boulder Alley Gallery project. Artists should submit images of work they own or have access to for high resolution photography or scanning. All submitted work will be reviewed by a jury selected by DBCI and evaluated for artistic excellence and project compatibility.

The most compatible artwork fits easily on a regular sized door, with narrow portrait pieces working best. Artists are encouraged to pre-crop their work to their liking and submit in the desired aspect ratio. Selected art will be printed on vinyl and attached to doors throughout the downtown district. Artists will retain rights to their work and will be credited via a small sign at or near the door and on the Alley Gallery website. Selected artists will also receive a small stipend.

Submissions must include 3-5 images. Do not submit pieces you are not comfortable altering in small ways, as pieces may need to be cropped to fit door requirements. Existing public art in the area is not appropriate for this project. Property owners throughout the downtown district are invited to participate as sponsors by covering installation costs and contributing to the Alley Gallery Fund for maintenance and project development.
