About This Call
The Bothell Arts Commission's 2024 Creative Arts Grant Program supports innovative projects by artists, and community and arts organizations that showcase artistic and cultural diversity, community building, and an appreciation for the creative spirit through arts activities. All projects must end in a culminating event that is accessible to Bothell residents and visitors.
Grant awards range from $500 to $10,000, and projects must be completed by December 1, 2024. All grant recipients must produce a public benefit as a culminating event for their project and submit a final report to secure awarded funds. Eligible applicants include individuals (independent artists), groups (neighborhood organizations, artistic and cultural organizations), and both Bothell residents and non-residents. IRS 501(c)(3) not-for-profit status is not required, though a City of Bothell business license may be required. Grant award recipients from 2023 are not eligible for this round of funding.
Funded projects may include artistic performances (theatre, music, original readings, dance), improved arts and cultural opportunities for diverse communities, equipment for public benefit, educational and participatory opportunities for youth and seniors, and increased access through free or discounted tickets. Projects must provide public benefit to Bothell residents and cannot be private events, permanent public art projects, murals, or capital construction projects. The panel evaluates applications based on artistic innovation, public access and benefit, and project feasibility. Applications must be submitted electronically by 11:59 p.m. MDT on April 12, 2024.
