About This Call

The Bothell Arts Commission's Creative Art Grant Program supports innovative projects by artists, and community and arts organizations that showcase artistic and cultural diversity, community building, and an appreciation for the creative spirit through arts activities. All projects must end in a culminating event that is accessible to Bothell residents and visitors.

Grant awards range from $500 to $10,000, and projects must be completed by December 1, 2024. Eligible applicants include individuals (independent artists), groups (neighborhood organizations, artistic and cultural organizations), and organizations without IRS 501(c)(3) status. You do not have to be a Bothell resident to apply; however, your public event must benefit Bothell residents. A City of Bothell business license may be required. Grant funds may be used for artistic performances (theatre, music, original readings, dance), improved arts and cultural opportunities for diverse communities, equipment for public benefit, educational and participatory opportunities for youth and seniors, and increased access to arts and cultural events through free or discounted tickets.

Projects must provide public benefit to Bothell residents through free or reduced pricing to performances, exhibitions, workshops, screenings, or other activities; services that expand access to underserved or underrepresented communities; or free, electronically accessible materials. The panel evaluates applications based on artistic innovation, public access and benefit, and project feasibility. Only new or redesigned projects will be considered. Work sample requirements include 3-5 images, up to 1 audio file, and up to 1 video file (7 samples maximum). Applications must be submitted electronically by the deadline.
