Boston Printmakers 2013 North American Print Biennial

The Boston Printmakers 2013 North American Print Biennial invites artists in North America to submit original, innovative works in all printmaking media including monoprints, monotypes, books, mixed media prints, large-scale prints, digital prints, three-dimensional prints, and print installations. Photographs, offset reproductions, and reproductions of artwork originally produced in another medium are not eligible. Submitted work may not have been exhibited in any other Boston Printmakers exhibition. Artists may submit up to three digital images of original prints completed within the past two years. Images must be no smaller than 1920 pixels in the longest dimension and 3mb maximum file size. The entry fee is $40 USD for non-members and $30 USD for current Boston Printmakers members (with coupon code). The fee is non-refundable.

The juror is Dennis Michael Jon, associate curator in the Department of Prints and Drawings at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. The exhibition will take place at the 808 Gallery, Boston University, Boston, MA. Over $10,000 is available in juror-designated purchase prizes and materials awards. The Boston Printmakers' Purchase Prizes go into permanent collections at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, the Art Complex Museum in Duxbury, MA, and the Boston Public Library Print Collection. A 35% commission will be charged on all sales and Patrons' selections; no commissions will be taken on purchase prizes.

Notifications will be emailed July 27, 2013. Accepted work may be shipped to BU by September 10, 2013, or hand delivered by September 7, 2013. The opening reception is Sunday, October 27, 2013, and the exhibition closes Friday, December 20, 2013. A catalogue will be sent to all accepted artists.
