Borders, Boundaries and Limits

Remarque/New Grounds Print Workshop & Gallery invites printmakers and photographers from around the world to submit work for the exhibition "Borders, Boundaries and Limits," held July 1-28, 2018.

This call seeks hand-printed photographic imagery using alternative processes, including photogravure, photopolymer intaglio, cyanotype, gum bichromate, carbon, salt, lumen, anthotype, gumoil, and other alternatives to straight digital printing. The theme "Borders, Boundaries and Limits" can be widely interpreted—literally, figuratively, expressively, psychologically, or visually. Artists with questions about process suitability should contact the gallery.

Each artist may submit up to 5 images with a maximum paper size of 16 x 20" or 20 x 16". The entry fee is $30 USD (non-refundable), which covers return postage, administration, and exhibition costs. Entries must arrive by midnight MDT on April 30, 2018. Selected works will be archivally framed and displayed at no additional cost to artists beyond shipping. Artists will be notified by May 16, 2018, and accepted works must arrive between May 16 and June 9, 2018, unframed and un-mounted. Remarque retains 50% of retail sales; artists receive 50%. Payment will be made within 30 days of the exhibition's end. By submitting, artists grant Remarque the right to use their images for marketing the exhibition with artist recognition provided.
