About This Call
The Boca Raton Museum of Art invites artists, architects, engineers, landscape architects, furniture designers, and other creative professionals to submit proposals for miniature golf holes. Individuals or teams may submit multiple entries, with each entry requiring a separate application. Submissions will be judged on creativity, playability, safety, durability, and feasibility of implementation.
Proposals should include a short description of the general concept or theme of the hole and be as detailed as possible regarding size, weight, materials, and any extraneous needs such as electricity. Applicants may submit explanatory materials including written text, video, drawings, graphics, sculptures or scale models, photographs, and digital media. Each selected proposal can request a stipend of up to $2,000.00 for materials, construction, and shipping. If requesting funding, a detailed budget for projected materials and costs must be included.
Proposals will be reviewed by the Boca Raton Museum of Art Curatorial Department and the Director. The timeline includes: February 29, 2012 for proposal submissions, March 8, 2012 for selection of winning entries, May 7 for working drawings due, and July 11-13 for installation. Applicants may submit between 1 and 20 images.
