Blue Sky 2022 Pacific Northwest Drawers

Blue Sky is accepting submissions for the 2022 Pacific Northwest Drawers (PNW Drawers), an annual juried exhibition showcasing regional contemporary photographers. Photographers from Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia are welcome to apply. There is no application fee.

Submissions must include exactly 10 images (no watermarks) from a single series or body of work created within the last five years. If previously featured in the PNW Drawers, submissions must be of new or different work. Applicants must provide details about each print including print type/medium, size, and price, along with a CV or résumé and concise artist statement. Only one entry per artist is permitted. The submission deadline is 10:59 PM (PT), Tuesday, January 4, 2022. Accepted artists will be notified no later than February 28, 2022. Works must be received at Blue Sky no later than 5:00 PM on March 19, 2022. Accepted works will debut to the public on First Thursday, April 7, 2022, the beginning of Portland Photo Month.

Selected work can be viewed in the flat files for a full year at the gallery, or digitally on the Blue Sky website. The online exhibition will remain part of the Blue Sky digital archive indefinitely. All prints selected for the PNW Drawers are eligible for sale with the artist's permission, with a 50% commission retained by Blue Sky. If accepted, works must be delivered to the gallery matted and/or mounted, with matted or mounted sizes not exceeding 20" x 24" x 1.5" when stacked together. The 2022 jurors are Dru Donovan and Efrem Zelony-Mindell.
