Blue Ridge Heritage Weekend Arts and Crafts Fair 2025

The Blue Ridge Heritage Weekend (BRHW) Arts and Crafts Fair 2025 is located 3 blocks from downtown Waynesville on the grounds of the Shelton Campus in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. This will be the 7th year of BRHW and is a fundraiser for the Shelton House Museum. The event is held outside and tents will be required. In addition to the juried artists and crafters, there will be demonstrators, local musicians, and food trucks. The fair is free to the public and will have a limited number of up to 75 artists chosen to participate.

The event runs Saturday, August 9 from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM and Sunday, August 10 from 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Check-in and tent set-up is Friday, August 8 from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST. The fair is open to artists 18 years of age or older from all 48 continental states, as well as artists studying at North Carolina institutions. Artists must be present for the duration of the show to sell their work and meet the public.

Application requirements include 5 digital images of artwork executed in the past two years, with a $25 non-refundable application fee. This is a rolling jury, with work reviewed within two weeks of receipt. The fair focuses on original handmade crafts, with strict guidelines prohibiting commercially-made items, kits, or copyrighted designs not owned by the artist. Amenities include free artist parking, bathroom facilities, refreshments, and booth sitting as available. All sales are handled by the exhibitor with no commission collected by the fair.
