Blue Line Arts

Blue Line Arts presents Off Center, an international ceramic art competition. This competition is open to all ceramic artists worldwide. Artists may submit up to three original pieces made of at least 80% clay as the primary medium. Pieces must be able to enter through doors with clear entry of 94" h X 91" w inches and should not exceed 50 pounds. All works must have been created after January 2015 and must not have been previously shown at Blue Line Arts. Submission of all works must be done online via CAFE by February 23, 2017. Images must be submitted as .jpg files without the artist's name included.

Judges for this competition are ceramic artists Sandra Simon and Robert Brady. Awards include First Place: $1,000; Second Place: $750; Third Place: $500; and Curator's Choice, which provides a solo exhibition at Blue Line Arts' Westpark Workshop Gallery in 2018. A full color catalog of the show will be produced. The exhibition runs from Friday, April 14, 2017 through Saturday, May 27, 2017. Acceptance/rejection notices will be sent by email on March 9th. Selected works must be shipped and physically received by April 9th. A reception will be held on April 15th from 6pm to 9pm.

Entry fee is $35 (covering 3 image uploads) with an additional $5 per image for extra uploads. All accepted work must be available for sale. Blue Line Arts retains 50% of the selling price (60% if the artist is a Blue Line Arts member) and pays the artist 50% (40% for members). Commission payments will be made within 30 days of the show's close. All prices must be quoted in US Dollars.
