BLUE

BLUE is a juried online gallery exhibition at O'Hanlon Center for the Arts running May 17–July 2, 2021. The exhibition focuses on the color blue in all its intriguing shades, including cyan, cobalt, cerulean, azure, navy, Prussian, indigo, periwinkle, royal, sapphire, steel, slate, sky, and baby blue. The color blue should figure prominently in submitted work. Sculptural and 3D pieces are welcome. Contemporary, expressionistic, abstract, exploratory, and experimental entries are encouraged. The exhibition is juried by Jen Tough, founder of The Artist Alliance Community.

Artists may submit up to 3 individual pieces of artwork for consideration. Diptyches and triptychs are considered 1 piece. Film and video are not accepted. Entry fee is $40 for non-members and $30 for O'Hanlon members (use coupon code OH30). New members can join for $95/year and receive a free submission. Work does not need to be for sale. The submission deadline is April 30, 2021 at 11 p.m. Pacific Time. Artists will be notified of results by email on May 10 by 5 p.m.

The exhibition is open to all artists age 16 and over. Works previously shown at O'Hanlon Gallery in-house or online are not eligible. Not all submitted artwork will be selected for exhibition. A zoomed roundtable art discussion to celebrate the show will be held on May 18 at 4 p.m. Pacific time, open to all. For artwork sales within the first 60 days of the exhibition, artists agree to donate 30% of the sale price to OHCA. By submitting work, artists agree that photographic images and/or video of their artwork may be used by OHCA in various forms including print, online, and social media.
