Bloomington Theatre and Art Center

Bloomington Theatre and Art Center (BTAC) presents approximately eight exhibitions annually in each the Inez Greenberg Gallery and the Atrium Gallery, showcasing artwork in a variety of media and styles.

Emerging and established artists and artist groups residing in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, and Wisconsin who are 18 years or older are invited to submit proposals for the 2017 exhibition program. All proposals must be received by March 31, 2015. Proposals will be reviewed by a jury panel who will select artists/artist groups based on quality of artwork, creativity and originality, technical skills, and overall exhibition proposal. Artists may be combined for a small group show or chosen for a solo exhibition. Applicants will be notified by May 29, 2015 of the jury panel's decision.

Proposals must include: an artist statement or proposal description of 1000 characters or less; 10 digital artwork samples saved as standard JPEGS (file dimensions no smaller than 1920 pixels on the longest side; file resolution of 72 ppi/dpi; file size of 3 MB maximum); a list of each work sample including title, medium, size, and date of completion; and a resume or biographical summary (two-page maximum). Resumes are not required for group proposals of five or more artists, but a description of the group or arts organization is required. Eligible artists work in any medium except film or video, are not currently enrolled in an undergraduate level art program, and have not exhibited in a solo or small group exhibition at BTAC in the past two years. Artists do not need to be BTAC members to propose or exhibit.
