Bloomington Bicentennial Gateway Public Art Commission

The City seeks qualifications for a signature, permanent public artwork at the second phase of the Bicentennial Gateway project at the north end of Miller-Showers Park, about 60 feet north of the completed gateway wall. The artwork should celebrate Bloomington’s vibrancy, diversity, resilience, creativity, rich history, and other community strengths; inspire excitement and anticipation in visitors entering the city; and create pride, belonging, and a meaningful sense of connection for residents and visitors. It may be abstract or representational. Artists or teams will design, fabricate, and install the work on or around the sign.
