Blooming

Blooming is an exhibition seeking artists to apply with work that explores the theme of "blooming." From flowers to blooming with confidence, blooming idiots, and love that blooms—real or imagined, literal or abstract—artists are invited to share their interpretation of blooming. All mediums are accepted.

The exhibition runs April 16–May 15, with a public reception on April 16 from 5–9 p.m. The reception is free and open to the public; artists are encouraged to attend. The reception will follow public health guidelines, requiring masks, with limited gallery capacity. The gallery is located in the historic Livestock Exchange Building with overflow space available.

Accepted artists must drop off work on Friday, April 9 (1–5 p.m.) or Saturday, April 10 (11 a.m.–3 p.m.). Artists shipping work must have it arrive by April 10. Artists are responsible for return shipping and must include a paid return shipping label with tracking number in their box or crate; stamps and money will not be accepted. Shipping insurance is recommended, and packing peanuts should not be used. Artwork must be original and ready to hang with wire apparatus on the back; shelves and pedestals are available for 3D work. Unsold work must be picked up on Saturday, May 15 (11 a.m.–3 p.m.) or Monday, May 17 (11 a.m.–5 p.m.), or will be shipped back on those dates.

Entry fee is $10, with an additional $5 media fee per image beyond the first. Submit 1–10 images. National eligibility.
