Bloomin' Air Plein Air Paint Out at Bartow Bloomin' Arts

Join local Plein Air Artists and Bloomin' Arts exhibitors on Sunday, March 2, 2025 to paint and express the "Spirit of the Festival" via form, structure, value and color in a variety of art mediums. This event is open to all artists aged 18 and older wishing to paint in Plein Air.

Early registration online through Lakeland Arts Association is $30. On-site registration the day of the event is $35. Bloomin' Arts exhibitors may compete for free. Artists will check in on site Sunday, March 2 from 8-9 am and will have up to two surfaces stamped for painting. Registration will be held in Fort Blount Park at the Lakeland Arts Association tent. Painting takes place from 9 am-12 pm, with work judged from 12-1 pm and exhibits displayed from 1-3 pm. Awards totaling $575 will be announced at 3 pm during the Bloomin' Arts award ceremony. Judge Wayne Chunat will judge between 12 and 1 pm.

Awards: 1st Place $250, 2nd Place $150, 3rd Place $75, Honorable Mention (2) $50 each. Entry fee is $30. Submit 3 images of your work. This is a "rain or shine" event with no refunds for inclement weather. All entries are displayed at the artist's risk; the Lakeland Arts Association and Bloomin' Arts Festival will not be responsible for theft or damage. Parking will be available around the perimeter of the event. Artists grant permission for Lakeland Arts Association and Bloomin' Arts Festival to use their name and images for advertisement and promotion of this and future events.
