BLOOM: Art of Flowers, Foliage & Fruit - Juried Exhibition 2026

BLOOM: Art of Flowers, Foliage & Fruit is a juried exhibition inviting contemporary artists to explore the relationship between humanity and the botanical world. The exhibition celebrates diverse artistic interpretations of floral and botanical subjects through contemporary perspectives, from intimate botanical studies to abstract interpretations, environmental commentary, and cultural symbolism.

Artists are encouraged to interpret the theme broadly, exploring traditional botanical representation through contemporary techniques, investigating symbolic or cultural significance of plants, addressing environmental themes, examining intersections of nature and technology, celebrating sensory experiences of botanical life, or incorporating botanical elements in abstract or experimental ways. All contemporary art media are welcome, including painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, digital art, sculpture, installation, textile arts, ceramics, glass, video, and collage.

Eligibility is open to artists 18 years and older at all career levels. Submit up to 3 original works created within the last 3 years via Submittable. Maximum dimensions are 60" in any direction for 2D works and 6' maximum height for 3D works; video works may not exceed 10 minutes. Work must be ready for exhibition. Submission deadline is April 30, 2026 at midnight. Notification of acceptance will be sent May 15, 2026. Exhibition dates are June 12 - August 2, 2026, with opening reception on Saturday, June 13, 1-4pm. Juror is Kathleen Marie Garness. All accepted artists receive professional exhibition experience, promotional opportunities, and inclusion in an online catalog. Cash awards are given for Best in Show, Excellence in Traditional Media, Excellence in Contemporary Interpretation, and Emerging Artist Award. Gallery retains 40% commission on sales. Artists are responsible for shipping costs and insurance. Work must remain in exhibition for the entire duration.
