Black Creek Arts Juried Exhibition

All artists 18 and older are invited to enter the Black Creek Arts Juried Exhibition. Black Creek Arts Council will consider works of all media except photography. All work must be original, not produced from a kit or guided class, completed within the last two years, and not previously exhibited at BCAC. Work must be presented professionally: works on paper should be framed under glass or plexiglass; paintings on canvas or panel must have gallery-wrapped, finished edges; all 2D pieces must be securely wired for hanging; 3D work must sit securely on a flat surface or be properly mounted for hanging. Size is restricted to 72" x 72" including frame and no more than 200 pounds in weight. Video work must be accompanied with a compatible monitor (24" or smaller), player, and cords. Artist's presence is required for site-specific works.

The entry fee is $35 for up to three pieces submitted digitally through CaFE. Artists may provide up to two separate images for each piece. The entry deadline is March 13, 2015 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Selected artists will be notified via email on March 20, 2015. Accepted work must be delivered to BCAC between March 27-29, 2015. The exhibition runs April 2 - May 29, 2015, with an opening reception and awards ceremony on April 9, 2015. Work pickup is May 30 - June 5, 2015.

Awards include Best of Show ($1,000), 1st Place ($500), 2nd Place ($200), and 3rd Place ($100). All accepted work must be labeled on the back with artist's name, title, and price. All entries will be available for sale unless marked Not For Sale. BCAC retains a 30% commission on all sales. BCAC assumes responsibility for insuring selected works while in their possession but will not cover shipping costs or insurance to/from their facilities. Any work not picked up within 30 days after the exhibition ends becomes property of Black Creek Arts Council.
