Black Creek Arts Annual Juried Exhibition

All artists 18 and older are invited to enter the Black Creek Arts Juried Exhibition. Black Creek Arts Council (BCAC) will consider works of all media, including video. All work must be original, not produced from a kit or a guided class, completed within the last two years, and not previously exhibited at BCAC. Work must be presented in a professional manner. Works on paper should be framed under glass or plexiglass. Paintings on canvas or panel must have gallery wrapped, finished edges. All 2D pieces are to be securely wired for hanging. 3-D work must be able to sit securely on a flat surface or be properly mounted for hanging. Artist's presence is required for site-specific works. Size is restricted to 72" x 72" including frame and no more than 200 pounds in weight. Any video work must be accompanied with a compatible monitor (24" or smaller), player and cords.

Entry fee is $35 for up to three pieces. Artists may provide up to two separate images for each piece submitted. The entry deadline is July 29, 2016 at 5pm. Artist notifications will be sent via email on August 12, 2016. Accepted work must be delivered to BCAC between August 26-28, 2016. The exhibition runs September 1-30, 2016, with an opening reception and awards ceremony on September 1 from 5:30-7pm. Work pickup dates are October 3-15, 2016.

Awards include Best of Show ($1000), 1st Place ($500), 2nd Place ($200), and 3rd Place ($100). All entries will be available for sale unless marked Not For Sale. BCAC will retain a 30% commission on all sales. All accepted work must be labeled on the back with artist's name, title of work, and price. BCAC assumes responsibility for insuring works while in their possession but will not cover shipping costs. Any work not picked up within 30 days after the exhibition's end becomes property of Black Creek Arts Council.
